Corazon Expresiones

Expresiones embodies the extraordinary payoff you can only achieve by taking a risk. Aged in the best bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace’s exclusive Antique Collection, these tequilas hold unique characteristics—kisses of rough rye and sweet bourbon—that make it a tequila unlike any other. The aging of Expresiones is what makes these tequilas truly remarkable. Buffalo Trace Distillery barrels infuse the blanco with unique character, enticing the palate with the charm of its age and char. They are stored in the first row at Casa San Matias’ aging facility to ensure the ideal level of air flow to aid in the aging process. The barrels are then evaluated every 2 months and monitored until the desired characteristics are achieved.

Expresiones del Corazon Astisanal Edition Blanco

As part of the second release of Expresiones del Corazón, this limited Artisanal Edition Blanco uses 100% blue weber agave with its brix measured before harvest, instead of traditional clear cut. Two sets were harvested for the blanco – one with lower sugar and one with higher. This blend is the unaged spirit that also goes into the Expresiones aged in selected barrels once used for different marks of Buffalo Trace bourbon and rye.

Corazon Aged Expresiones

Three Tequilas are released annually alongside the Artisanal Blanco, which forms the base of these aged tequilas. These expresiones vary each year, however the one thing that unites them all is their ageing in casks formally used to make Bourbon or Rye Whiskey at Buffalo Trace Distillery.
